In Chinese theory, the five basic elements are as follows, these elements are formed from one another in the following order,
Fire(Sun), Earth, Metal, Water and Trees(wood)..
In Indian system we have five elements as,
Fire, earth, air, water and Akasha(sky)...In chine they are having metal instead of air and wood instead of Sky.
The following circle is being called as production cycle,
There is another cycle called controlling cycle, to control the elements and to keep them under control.
For example,

Fire creates earth and controls metal, earth creates metal and controls water and it goes on...
If the above elements are being in their particular proportion, everything is proper...if anything goes excess, disaster happens, this is common for nature..
The same thing applies for our human body too..each part in our body relates to any of the particular element.
Yin Yang :
Yin and Yang are opposite things which happens to be together in all elements starting form atom to human body in any element in the world.Yin has Yang and Yang has Yin in it, Yin can be realized when Yang is there and vice versa. Following is the symbolic representation of this,
Example is: male and female are opposite and use to be together, day and night, heat and cool are other examples,
Yin use to be cool and calm things and constant things,
yang use to he harse and things appears which is to be non-constant,
